do you believe that jesus christ is the<\/p>\n

and the redeemer of sinners and you<\/p>\n
trust in him alone for your salvation<\/p>\n
that he provides for you by his grace<\/p>\n
do you promise to rely on the grace of<\/p>\n
the holy spirit by living in a manner<\/p>\n
fitting to be being the disciples of<\/p>\n
jesus christ do you promise them<\/p>\n
do you promise to assist great city<\/p>\n
church in worship<\/p>\n
um embarrassment and bears ministry to<\/p>\n
the best of your abilities do you<\/p>\n
promise that you accept the care and<\/p>\n
oversight of the church<\/p>\n
and promise to study god's word and the<\/p>\n
doctrine that comes from it<\/p>\n
do you accept and promise them it's<\/p>\n
something that is unique i think for us<\/p>\n
as a<\/p>\n
great city family<\/p>\n
that for them taking the vow the elders<\/p>\n
are also taking a<\/p>\n
and the stevens also would like to<\/p>\n
to be baptized so if you can just<\/p>\n

say this too that you know<\/p>\n

baptist brothers and sisters<\/p>\n
for allowing for showing us grace thank<\/p>\n
god for allowing us to<\/p>\n

sisters uh and perhaps<\/p>\n
you can think of this as<\/p>\n
wet baby dedication<\/p>\n
jesus christ has established the<\/p>\n
sacrament of baptism<\/p>\n
for those who believe in him<\/p>\n
baptism is both a sign and a seal of<\/p>\n
salvation by god's grace alone<\/p>\n
it points to the redemption the reactive<\/p>\n
work<\/p>\n
of the lord jesus christ and the<\/p>\n
sacrifice work of the holy spirit<\/p>\n
in other words<\/p>\n
back in baptism we are claiming that no<\/p>\n
one is saved by human actions<\/p>\n
but our salvation is based on what god<\/p>\n
has done in jesus christ on our behalf<\/p>\n
for this reason the bible promised to<\/p>\n
those who believe in the lord jesus<\/p>\n
christ<\/p>\n
that he who began a good work in you<\/p>\n
will bring it to completion<\/p>\n
furthermore in the bible god does not<\/p>\n
just give this promise to believers<\/p>\n
but he promised<\/p>\n
to take care of our children as well<\/p>\n
thus when we baptize our children<\/p>\n
not because<\/p>\n
this water<\/p>\n
will save them<\/p>\n
but because we the parents are trusting<\/p>\n
the god that god will keep the promise<\/p>\n
to look after our children also<\/p>\n
however as parents<\/p>\n
we have responsibilities for our<\/p>\n
children one<\/p>\n
we have a duty to preach and teach the<\/p>\n
word<\/p>\n
and the teaching that comes from the<\/p>\n
word to our children<\/p>\n
two<\/p>\n
we have a duty to pray with our children<\/p>\n
and for our children<\/p>\n
we have a duty to live as a good example<\/p>\n
try<\/p>\n
and try in every way to raise our<\/p>\n
children to grow up in the world<\/p>\n
therefore as minister of the gospel and<\/p>\n
the pastor of this church i charge you<\/p>\n
to do these duties as parents<\/p>\n
please answer this question from your<\/p>\n
heart<\/p>\n
do you confess that your children are<\/p>\n
sent out sinners<\/p>\n
in the sight of god<\/p>\n
that he must he or she must be cleansed<\/p>\n
from from his of her sin<\/p>\n
by the blood of the lord jesus christ<\/p>\n
and the word of the holy spirit<\/p>\n
do you hold fast in the promise of god<\/p>\n
that you're for your children and trust<\/p>\n
in the lord jesus for his fitness of<\/p>\n

do you promise to be uh to dedicate your<\/p>\n
children to god by relying on his grace<\/p>\n
do you promise to be a good example to<\/p>\n
your children pray with your children<\/p>\n
and for your children<\/p>\n
teach your word and various doctrines<\/p>\n
they write in the scripture<\/p>\n
and will use all means to raise your<\/p>\n
eternal children to grow up in the way<\/p>\n
of the lord to you<\/p>\n
for members of grace and church<\/p>\n
