let's pray for them as they are uh<\/p>\n
learning God's word in that class and<\/p>\n
also as we are learning God's word here<\/p>\n
and as we continue to Worship the Lord<\/p>\n
uh dear heavenly father we thank you so<\/p>\n
much for this<\/p>\n
opportunity uh to continue to to hear<\/p>\n
your word I pray that you will bless us<\/p>\n
I pray that you will speak through me<\/p>\n
and also through pmo I pray that you<\/p>\n
will speak to our our hearts and our<\/p>\n
minds and help us just to see how Mighty<\/p>\n
and Powerful how loving um our great God<\/p>\n
is and I pray that you will just give us<\/p>\n
hearts that overflow uh with joy in you<\/p>\n
dear Lord for being our great king uh<\/p>\n
who came into Jerusalem 2,000 years ago<\/p>\n
to rescue us from our enemies dear Lord<\/p>\n
we have um many reasons to have uh great<\/p>\n
courage as we Face evil today dear Lord<\/p>\n
I pray that you will show us those and<\/p>\n
remind us of those this week and we ask<\/p>\n
all this in Jesus name<\/p>\n
amen all right today uh we will be<\/p>\n
looking at Psalm 83 uh so if you have<\/p>\n
do to them as you did to Midian as to<\/p>\n
Cera and Jain at the river kishan who<\/p>\n
were destroyed at indor who became dung<\/p>\n
for the ground make their nobles like<\/p>\n
orb and Zab all their princes like Zeba<\/p>\n
and Zuna who said let us take possession<\/p>\n
for ourselves of the pastures of<\/p>\n
God oh my God make them like whirling<\/p>\n
dust like chaff before the wind as fire<\/p>\n
consumes the for us as the flame sets<\/p>\n
the mountains of Blaze so may you pursue<\/p>\n
them with your Tempest and terrify them<\/p>\n
with your hurricane fill their faces<\/p>\n
with shame that they may seek your name<\/p>\n
oh Lord let them be put to shame and<\/p>\n
dismayed forever let them perish and<\/p>\n
disgrace that they may know that you<\/p>\n
alone whose name is the Lord are the<\/p>\n
most high over all the<\/p>\n
Earth um whenever I was in high school I<\/p>\n
played basketball for for 3 years and uh<\/p>\n
we went one summer as a as a team to a<\/p>\n
local University where we went for a<\/p>\n
basketball camp and at this basketball<\/p>\n
camp we would play basketball against<\/p>\n
other teams during the day and then the<\/p>\n
afternoons we would have free time and<\/p>\n
so one of the teams decided to to bring<\/p>\n
water balloons um with them so that<\/p>\n
everyone could have a water balloon<\/p>\n
fight and so we all filled up the water<\/p>\n
balloon uh water balloons and uh we<\/p>\n
started throwing them at each other<\/p>\n
and someone decided to throw a water<\/p>\n
bottle instead of a water balloon at<\/p>\n
someone uh and this was not a good idea<\/p>\n
um they threw it at the one of the<\/p>\n
biggest players um that was at the camp<\/p>\n
and he let out a big yell and he said I<\/p>\n
dare someone throw something else uh he<\/p>\n
said I'll kill you and so we were all<\/p>\n
scared um but there was a guy on our<\/p>\n
team named wolf and he was probably the<\/p>\n
biggest player at the camp um and some<\/p>\n
of the my teammates reason they were<\/p>\n
like we um have wolf with us there's no<\/p>\n
way that this guy will come after us<\/p>\n
look how big he is and so uh they<\/p>\n
decided to throw some more water<\/p>\n
balloons at this guy which wasn't a<\/p>\n
great idea and so I can I can still<\/p>\n
remember uh this guy he was standing on<\/p>\n
a bridge uh that connected the two<\/p>\n
buildings that we were staying in and I<\/p>\n
just remember seeing the rage in this<\/p>\n
guy's eyes as those water balloons hit<\/p>\n
him and he took off running after us and<\/p>\n
so um yeah it was a it was a scary<\/p>\n
moment and the guys on my team that had<\/p>\n
that g that great courage to throw these<\/p>\n
water balloons at this guy they were uh<\/p>\n
second and third in line behind wolf<\/p>\n
running into our<\/p>\n
building um and so yeah they had this<\/p>\n
great courage that these guy this guy<\/p>\n
wouldn't come after us but it was a<\/p>\n
false courage that that easily um passed<\/p>\n
away whenever he came after us the<\/p>\n
powers of the kingdom of Satan they<\/p>\n
share this same intense anger to destroy<\/p>\n
us that this guy had for our team that<\/p>\n
day but thankfully we have a champion<\/p>\n
unlike wolf who is willing and able to<\/p>\n
rescue us from our<\/p>\n
enemy so the the first thing that I want<\/p>\n
to look at on our text this morning is<\/p>\n
that we need to be prepared to face an<\/p>\n
intense opposition from our enemy<\/p>\n
in Genesis um the first book in the<\/p>\n
Bible we are told that whenever God made<\/p>\n
creation it was good things went well<\/p>\n
for a short while there was peace and<\/p>\n
Harmony and then one day Satan who is<\/p>\n
God's enemy came in the form of a snake<\/p>\n
to Adam and Eve and he tempted them he<\/p>\n
said rebel against God disobey him<\/p>\n
follow after me he said eat of the fruit<\/p>\n
of the tree he told you not to eat of in<\/p>\n
Adam and Eve they ate of this tree and<\/p>\n
after that everything in God's creation<\/p>\n
was corrupted and the peace that they<\/p>\n
had originally experienced it was<\/p>\n
lost this was the start of a great<\/p>\n
spiritual war that would take place<\/p>\n
between God and those who belong to him<\/p>\n
and also Satan and his<\/p>\n
followers in Genesis 3:15 we read God<\/p>\n
saying to the serpent that to the snake<\/p>\n
I will put imity between you and the<\/p>\n
woman and between your Offspring and her<\/p>\n
Offspring he shall bruise your head and<\/p>\n
you shall bruise his<\/p>\n
Hill The Offspring of the woman are<\/p>\n
those who belong to God and are part of<\/p>\n
the kingdom of God and The Offspring of<\/p>\n
the snake are those who belong to Satan<\/p>\n
and who are part of his kingdom and<\/p>\n
these two kingdoms have been at war with<\/p>\n
each other since Adam and Eve first<\/p>\n
sinned in Psalm 83 we see<\/p>\n
of the many battles or we we we know of<\/p>\n
the many battles between these two<\/p>\n
kingdoms because we see it here the<\/p>\n
psalm teaches us something about the<\/p>\n
intensity of the opposition of the evil<\/p>\n
that we<\/p>\n
face in Psalm 83: 2-5 it tells us about<\/p>\n
that intensity for behold your enemies<\/p>\n
make an uproar those who hate you have<\/p>\n
raised their heads they lay crafty plans<\/p>\n
against your people they consult<\/p>\n
together against your treasured ones<\/p>\n
they say come let us wipe them out as a<\/p>\n
nation let the name of Israel be<\/p>\n
remembered no more for they conspire<\/p>\n
with one Accord against you they make a<\/p>\n
covenant and so what we see going on<\/p>\n
here in these verses is the tension that<\/p>\n
God put between the seed of The Serpent<\/p>\n
and the seed of the woman this is<\/p>\n
Genesis 3:15 being played out The<\/p>\n
Offspring of the snake is preparing to<\/p>\n
attack The Offspring of the woman we see<\/p>\n
something of the intense nature of the<\/p>\n
kingdom of Satan here in Psalm<\/p>\n
83 the kingdom of Satan intensely hates<\/p>\n
a crafts plans against and wants to wipe<\/p>\n
the people of God out he wants to wipe<\/p>\n
us<\/p>\n
out when my basketball team was going to<\/p>\n
to play another team my my coach he<\/p>\n
would go and watch um or he would watch<\/p>\n
videos of the games that the the teams<\/p>\n
had played and he would he would study<\/p>\n
the players<\/p>\n
intensely and then he would come and he<\/p>\n
would tell us about them to prepare us<\/p>\n
for the game he would say this guy right<\/p>\n
here he's a good three-point shooter<\/p>\n
you're going to have to get on him<\/p>\n
you're going to have to get in his face<\/p>\n
or he's going to pull up and shoot and<\/p>\n
score on you every time and as<\/p>\n
Christians we don't want to be paranoid<\/p>\n
or afraid of evil but we do want to be<\/p>\n
prepared and on our guard for it we must<\/p>\n
treat an enemy that intends to destroy<\/p>\n
God's people and inflict great harm upon<\/p>\n
us as a serious threat so brothers and<\/p>\n
sisters we need to see that life is a<\/p>\n
spiritual war and we need to be on our<\/p>\n
guard against our<\/p>\n
enemy our Tech not our text not only<\/p>\n
encourages us to see our enemy as a<\/p>\n
serious threat it also teaches us to<\/p>\n
view evil as an attack on God's<\/p>\n
glory let's look now at how an attack on<\/p>\n
God's people is an attack on God's<\/p>\n
glory the psalmist makes the connection<\/p>\n
between God and his people in verses 2<\/p>\n
through 5 and in verse four uh he quotes<\/p>\n
Israel's enemy let us wipe them out let<\/p>\n
the name of Israel be remembered no<\/p>\n
more and so what this translates into is<\/p>\n
the desire that the name of the Lord<\/p>\n
would be remembered no<\/p>\n
more what is the psalmist main concern<\/p>\n
for asking God to destroy Israel's<\/p>\n
enemies we see it in verses 16 through<\/p>\n
fill their faces with shame that they<\/p>\n
may seek your name oh Lord let them be<\/p>\n
put to shame and dismayed forever let<\/p>\n
them perish in disgrace that they may<\/p>\n
know that you alone whose name is the<\/p>\n
Lord are the most high over all the<\/p>\n
Earth and so Israel's enemies they are<\/p>\n
trying to destroy them to get at God if<\/p>\n
you look at the the other Psalms like<\/p>\n
Psalm 83 that call for God to destroy<\/p>\n
Israel's enemies you see that the psalm<\/p>\n
they are consumed with God's glory and<\/p>\n
that's the driving force behind their<\/p>\n
request they're asking for God to be<\/p>\n
honored the psalmist is asking God to<\/p>\n
defend Israel and take out en Israel's<\/p>\n
enemies um to defend his glory from<\/p>\n
being attacked these verses teach us<\/p>\n
that we need to think about spiritual<\/p>\n
warfare in relation to the<\/p>\n
Lord we are God's people and he is our<\/p>\n
great king that we just sang about this<\/p>\n
morning when we are spiritually attacked<\/p>\n
is not only attack on us an attempt to<\/p>\n
do us harm and destroy us but more<\/p>\n
importantly it's an attack on God and<\/p>\n
who he<\/p>\n
is Satan is trying to get at God's glory<\/p>\n
whenever he attacks us and that is the<\/p>\n
deep-seated motive of Satan this is the<\/p>\n
drive of evil it is to utterly destroy<\/p>\n
anything that points to God In His<\/p>\n
glory the goal of evil is to completely<\/p>\n
wipe free the the Earth of anything that<\/p>\n
would glorify God evil wants to replace<\/p>\n
love with hate order with<\/p>\n
chaos desire for the Lord with desire<\/p>\n
for the flesh Justice with Injustice<\/p>\n
light with darkness in order that so<\/p>\n
that there is no trace of God<\/p>\n
anywhere the psalmist concern in Psalm<\/p>\n
83 is not so much about preventing<\/p>\n
personal injury to Israel as it is about<\/p>\n
preventing those who would try to harm<\/p>\n
Israel in order to tarnish the<\/p>\n
reputation of the<\/p>\n
Lord so when evil threatens to attack us<\/p>\n
and wants to destroy us in this way do<\/p>\n
we have a concern for God's glory and<\/p>\n
say God keep this evil at Bay or God<\/p>\n
destroy this evil because it's an attack<\/p>\n
on your glory and I don't want to see<\/p>\n
that take<\/p>\n
place I want to see you high and lifted<\/p>\n
up to be magnified and so you you see<\/p>\n
the PSAL desire here and we want to have<\/p>\n
that same desire in our hearts that the<\/p>\n
psalmist has here we want everything in<\/p>\n
our lives to be God exalting and God<\/p>\n
honoring even the way that we think<\/p>\n
about and handle evil threats against us<\/p>\n
we want to ask the Lord to give us<\/p>\n
hearts that are consumed with his glory<\/p>\n
so that whenever his people are<\/p>\n
threatened or attacked by the evil one<\/p>\n
our hearts in trouble are are troubled<\/p>\n
causes in a great offense against our<\/p>\n
holy<\/p>\n
God this Psalm also teaches us to rely<\/p>\n
upon God for our help during times of<\/p>\n
spiritual<\/p>\n
attack I think verses 9 through 12 they<\/p>\n
they function in two ways the first is<\/p>\n
that they they function as a prayer the<\/p>\n
psalmist ask the Lord to destroy<\/p>\n
Israel's and God's enemies in the second<\/p>\n
way uh it functions as a is as a<\/p>\n
reminder to Israel that God has<\/p>\n
protected Israel from from her enemies<\/p>\n
in the past and he will also be faithful<\/p>\n
to do this in the<\/p>\n
future in verses 9-2 the psalmist gives<\/p>\n
a list of some of Israel's enemies from<\/p>\n
the book of of<\/p>\n
Judges um and the enemies that these are<\/p>\n
enemies that God has had defeated during<\/p>\n
the time of the judges and these enemies<\/p>\n
uh that God had defeated they were<\/p>\n
Superior to Israel<\/p>\n
if Israel were to face them alone they<\/p>\n
would surely be destroyed because their<\/p>\n
enemies were of superior strength in<\/p>\n
Psalm 83 um it's the same situation they<\/p>\n
must once again rely upon God to defeat<\/p>\n
their strong enemies for them just like<\/p>\n
those in the during the time of Judges<\/p>\n
had to rely upon God to defeat these<\/p>\n
enemies for them God has always done for<\/p>\n
his people what we cannot do for<\/p>\n
ourselves as Israel members these<\/p>\n
battles and God's constant protection<\/p>\n
they would have been strengthened to<\/p>\n
face their enemies in the future knowing<\/p>\n
that God their warrior king is faithful<\/p>\n
to defend them and to defeat their<\/p>\n
enemies for them and so it is good for<\/p>\n
us to remember how God has defeated our<\/p>\n
enemies for us in the past knowing God's<\/p>\n
power over the kingdom of evil and his<\/p>\n
willingness to defeat our enemies it<\/p>\n
encourages us to have great courage as<\/p>\n
we face opposition from them today<\/p>\n
and this weekend is the the start of<\/p>\n
what many churches around the world will<\/p>\n
celebrate as Holy Week it's a week that<\/p>\n
celebrates the the death of Jesus and<\/p>\n
the events leading up to his death and<\/p>\n
so today we celebrate Palm<\/p>\n
Sunday and this Friday we will celebrate<\/p>\n
Good Friday and I want to encourage you<\/p>\n
to come to this service we want to<\/p>\n
remember how God has won the war on the<\/p>\n
kingdom of Satan at the cross<\/p>\n
remembering that he is has won the war<\/p>\n
gives us great courage for spiritual<\/p>\n
warfare that we constantly face and so I<\/p>\n
want to encourage you to come this Good<\/p>\n
Friday to remember what Christ has done<\/p>\n
for us and to see and to remember the<\/p>\n
power of God today we celebrate Palm<\/p>\n
Sunday it's a celebration of the day<\/p>\n
when Jesus entered the city of Jerusalem<\/p>\n
with the purpose to die on a cross only<\/p>\n
days later to rescue us from our<\/p>\n
sins as we read uh this morning in John<\/p>\n
12-5 the account of that the next day<\/p>\n
the large crowd that had come to the<\/p>\n
feast heard that Jesus was coming to<\/p>\n
Jerusalem so they took branches of palm<\/p>\n
trees and went out to meet him crying<\/p>\n
out Hosanna blessed is he who comes in<\/p>\n
the name of the Lord even the king of<\/p>\n
Israel and Jesus found a young donkey<\/p>\n
and sat on it just as it is written fear<\/p>\n
not oh Daughter of Zion behold your king<\/p>\n
is coming sitting on a donkey's C<\/p>\n
and as aan Tim mentioned this morning<\/p>\n
this is a prophecy that had been<\/p>\n
prophesied uh for a long time for God's<\/p>\n
people we find that prophecy in<\/p>\n
Zechariah 9 when he says fear not oh<\/p>\n
Daughter of Zion behold your king is<\/p>\n
coming sitting on a donkey's CT in<\/p>\n
Zechariah 9 we are told more of what<\/p>\n
Jesus coming was was was about what he<\/p>\n
was to<\/p>\n
do and so in Zechariah 9 9-10 we read<\/p>\n
Rejoice greatly oh Daughter of Zion<\/p>\n
shout aloud oh daughter of Jerusalem<\/p>\n
behold your kingdom is coming to you<\/p>\n
righteous and having salvation is he<\/p>\n
humble and mounted on a donkey on a cult<\/p>\n
the foul of a donkey I will cut off The<\/p>\n
Chariot from Ephraim and the war horse<\/p>\n
from Jerusalem and the battle bow shall<\/p>\n
be cut off and he shall speak peace to<\/p>\n
the Nations his rule shall be from sea<\/p>\n
to Sea and from the river to the the<\/p>\n
ends of the<\/p>\n
Earth and so Jesus came to give us the<\/p>\n
universal peace um that we all long for<\/p>\n
he gave us he came to give us peace in<\/p>\n
every area of Our Lives he came to give<\/p>\n
us peace with God he came to give us<\/p>\n
peace with others he came to give us<\/p>\n
peace from the Hostile attacks of the<\/p>\n
kingdom of Satan that the church<\/p>\n
experiences every<\/p>\n
day Jesus accomplished everything needed<\/p>\n
to bring us peace from our enemy through<\/p>\n
his death and his<\/p>\n
resurrection although Jesus accomplished<\/p>\n
everything needed to give us complete<\/p>\n
peace in his death and re Resurrection<\/p>\n
he will not bring about complete peace<\/p>\n
until his second<\/p>\n
coming one day Jesus will come to the<\/p>\n
Earth again and he will make all things<\/p>\n
right and until Jesus comes again the<\/p>\n
battle between the kingdom of God and<\/p>\n
the kingdom of Satan it will continue<\/p>\n
on shortly before Jesus death he he<\/p>\n
lovingly told his disciples about the<\/p>\n
difficulties um that we would face from<\/p>\n
the kingdom of Satan after he died he<\/p>\n
said the kingdom of Satan hates you<\/p>\n
because you belong to me and you are not<\/p>\n
like it he basically told them about the<\/p>\n
battle that we read about that was<\/p>\n
started in Genesis 3:15 and he explained<\/p>\n
to them the hostility that they would<\/p>\n
face he mentioned that some of them<\/p>\n
would even experience death for their<\/p>\n
faith and after he told them these<\/p>\n
things he said in John<\/p>\n
16:33 I have said these things to you<\/p>\n
that in me you may have peace in the<\/p>\n
world you will have tribulation but take<\/p>\n
heart I have overcome the<\/p>\n
world and so Jesus is doing the same<\/p>\n
thing for his disciples here that God<\/p>\n
does for us in Psalm 83 he is saying<\/p>\n
when you experience evil because you are<\/p>\n
mine take heart and remember what I have<\/p>\n
done for you in the past destroying your<\/p>\n
enemies for you so brothers and sisters<\/p>\n
I'm I'm not sure what opposition you<\/p>\n
will face from the evil one this week<\/p>\n
because you were a<\/p>\n
Christian a family member or maybe even<\/p>\n
your whole family may shame you and<\/p>\n
reject you because you have become a<\/p>\n
Christian they may talk about how you<\/p>\n
have walked away from the religion of<\/p>\n
your n of your nation your community<\/p>\n
your<\/p>\n
family a friend at your school or a co-<\/p>\n
the opposition you face now is only<\/p>\n
temporary Jesus has won the war against<\/p>\n
the kingdom of<\/p>\n
Satan we not only have great hope for<\/p>\n
complete destruction of our enemy in the<\/p>\n
future we also have great hope that the<\/p>\n
Lord will come to our Aid and protect us<\/p>\n
from the attacks of Satan in the here<\/p>\n
and<\/p>\n
now in Matthew 15 or<\/p>\n
1618 uh Jesus says and I tell you you<\/p>\n
are Peter and on this rock I will build<\/p>\n
my church and the Gates of Hell shall<\/p>\n
not Prevail against it Jesus is more<\/p>\n
powerful than any evil attack you<\/p>\n
experiencing and he can conquer it too<\/p>\n
he has the ability to change the hearts<\/p>\n
and the minds of family members so that<\/p>\n
they come to know and to love him the<\/p>\n
way that you<\/p>\n
do he can change the heart and mind of<\/p>\n
friends at school or co-workers so that<\/p>\n
they come to know and love God's law as<\/p>\n
you do he can change the culture you<\/p>\n
live in from one that opposes to the<\/p>\n
gospel to one that cherishes it Christ<\/p>\n
is bringing about his kingdom throughout<\/p>\n
the world He is building his church and<\/p>\n
there is no power that will be able to<\/p>\n
stop him from doing this and so knowing<\/p>\n
this should give us great courage as we<\/p>\n
face opposition from the evil<\/p>\n
one the second way that verses 9<\/p>\n
through2 function is as a<\/p>\n
prayer uh verses 9 through through 12<\/p>\n
read do to them as you did to Midian as<\/p>\n
to Cera and jabin at the river Kishon<\/p>\n
who were destroyed at indor who became<\/p>\n
dung for the ground make their nobles<\/p>\n
like orb and Zeb all their princes like<\/p>\n
zebba and Zuna who said let us take<\/p>\n
possession for ourselves of the pastors<\/p>\n
of God so this is a prayer and is<\/p>\n
praying for God to destroy the rulers<\/p>\n
and the the kingdoms that are attacking<\/p>\n
God's people so how do we use this Psalm<\/p>\n
to pray for the church who is the<\/p>\n
church's<\/p>\n
enemy we're told in Ephesians<\/p>\n
6:12 for we do not wrestle against flesh<\/p>\n
and blood but against the rulers against<\/p>\n
the authorities against the cosmic<\/p>\n
Powers over this present Darkness<\/p>\n
against the spiritual forces of evil in<\/p>\n
the Heavenly<\/p>\n
places and so whenever we pray against<\/p>\n
opposition we pray against Satan we pray<\/p>\n
against evil rulers against evil forces<\/p>\n
that that are behind the spiritual<\/p>\n
attacks on the church and we must also<\/p>\n
pray against their work there are many<\/p>\n
taxes that Satan uses to attack God's<\/p>\n
Church Satan loves to use gossip to<\/p>\n
create disunity in the church if you<\/p>\n
hear gossip about another brother or<\/p>\n
sister in the church then pray that the<\/p>\n
Lord would put an end to it and keep the<\/p>\n
person who hears it from passing it on<\/p>\n
from telling others if you know someone<\/p>\n
is being shamed because of their faith<\/p>\n
then pray for God God to change the<\/p>\n
hearts and the minds of those who are<\/p>\n
shaming this<\/p>\n
person and just as a n prayed this<\/p>\n
afternoon for the persecuted around the<\/p>\n
church around the world we want to to<\/p>\n
pray for those brothers and sisters<\/p>\n
around the world who have their lives<\/p>\n
threatened because of the Gospel we want<\/p>\n
God to uh protect them and so we ask him<\/p>\n
to protect their lives and more<\/p>\n
importantly that he will protect their<\/p>\n
faith in him as they go through this<\/p>\n
persecution<\/p>\n
we pray that God will remind them of<\/p>\n
what he has done for them in<\/p>\n
Christ and if you don't know what to<\/p>\n
pray you can pray the Lord's Prayer you<\/p>\n
pray God Your Kingdom Come On Earth as<\/p>\n
it is in heaven and in this prayer<\/p>\n
you're asking God to do battle with the<\/p>\n
kingdom of Satan so that God's kingdom<\/p>\n
advances and we see also at the end of<\/p>\n
Ephesians 6 that we are called to pray<\/p>\n
con uh constantly<\/p>\n
consistently uh the Apostle Paul tells<\/p>\n
us to to pray at all times in the spirit<\/p>\n
with all prayer and supplication to that<\/p>\n
end keep alert with all perseverance<\/p>\n
making supplication for all the saints<\/p>\n
and also for me that words may be given<\/p>\n
to me in opening my mouth boldly to<\/p>\n
proclaim the mystery of the gospel for<\/p>\n
which I am an ambassador in chains that<\/p>\n
I may declare it boldly as I ought to<\/p>\n
speak and so whenever we pray for God's<\/p>\n
persecuted church we are praying for<\/p>\n
God's kingdom to come we are praying for<\/p>\n
um God to do battle with our enemies<\/p>\n
with the Enemy of the church and we are<\/p>\n
praying for God's gospel to go forward<\/p>\n
with power and to change hearts and<\/p>\n
Minds so that he brings others to come<\/p>\n
to love and to worship him in the way<\/p>\n
that we do let's<\/p>\n
pray dear Lord we we thank you so much<\/p>\n
for for for your word dear Lord how it<\/p>\n
it strengthens us how it gives us<\/p>\n
courage to face the great evil that we<\/p>\n
experienced today that your people have<\/p>\n
experienced since the beginning of time<\/p>\n
we thank you for your love for us we<\/p>\n
thank you for defeating our enemies for<\/p>\n
us as we see in our text uh this<\/p>\n
afternoon our enemies are strong uh<\/p>\n
Satan and his kingdom is an evil threat<\/p>\n
uh to us dear Lord but you are more<\/p>\n
powerful than the kingdom of Satan and<\/p>\n
you have shown that at the cross you<\/p>\n
have defeated Satan at the cross and so<\/p>\n
I pray that you will remind us of that<\/p>\n
this week dear Lord we thank you for<\/p>\n
this week what it means that we can<\/p>\n
celebrate uh what our King has done for<\/p>\n
us at the cross and so I pray that you<\/p>\n
will encourage us this week from what<\/p>\n
we've heard this morning uh strengthen<\/p>\n
us as we go out as your church uh to do<\/p>\n
battle uh to do war with the kingdom of<\/p>\n
Satan<\/p>\n
and I pray all this in Jesus name<\/p>\n
